Allen's
#4 Reservoir
This reservoir is
located on the east side of the county south of Misco. Pond fishing

Avondale
Wildlife (Ohio Power)
This area is
4,198 acres and includes 20 acres of water. While pond fishing some
of the fish that can be caught are largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel
catfish. A free permit is required to hunt. Some of the game
that inhabit this area are: squirrel, rabbit, quail, woodchuck,
ruffled grouse, furbearers, and waterfowl. Avondale Wildlife is
located east of St. Rt. 345, near the town of Saltio. 614-594-2211
Buckeye
Lake State Park
This state park
is 175 acres of woodland and 3,382 acres of water. While lake
fishing some of the fish that can be caught are: crappie, perch,
bass, bluegill, channel cat, and bullhead. Boat ramps and docks
allow access for boats with unlimited horsepower. The state park is
located in the north west corner of the county west of St. Rt. 13.

Clouse
Lake Wildlife Area
Clouse Lake
Wildlife Area is 52 acres and includes 25 acres of water. Only
electric motorboats permitted while lake fishing. This area is also
a public hunting area. Clouse Lake Wildlife Area is located east of

Flagdale
Lake
This lake is 123
acres of woodland and 32 acres of water. Public boat ramps are
available for power boats. This area is also a public hunting area
and provides great spots for shore fishing. Flagdale Lake is located
north of Marietta Rd. and east of Flagdale Rd. 614-569-4500
New
Lexington Reservoir
This reservoir is
94 acres with 44 acres of water. Pond fishing is permitted and a
boat ramp is available. New Lexington Reservoir is located east of
St. Rt. 13 north of New Lexington Reservoir 2.

Lexington Reservoir 2
This reservoir is
located south of New Lexington Reservoir and east of St. Rt. 13.
This area is 36 acres of woodland and 27 acres of water. This area
is also a public hunting area. Shore fishing and other recreational

Peabody
Coal Co. Lands
This area is
8,620 acres with 90 acres of water. This area is a public hunting
area. Some of the game that inhabit this area are: deer,
grouse, squirrel, rabbit, turkey, furbearers, and waterfowl. Stay
out of posted areas because most of the area has been strip mined,
producing high walls. While shore fishing largemouth bass and
bluegill are some of the fish that can be caught. Peabody Coal Co.
Lands is located east of St. Rt. 93 north of Wayne National Forest.

Perry
State Forest
Perry State
Forest is 4,567 acres and includes 50 acres of water. This is a
public hunting area and some of the game that inhabit this area are:
rabbit, grouse, furbearers, deer, squirrel, and waterfowl. Perry
State Forest Rec. Area is 60 acres of woodland and 25 acres of water.
The recreational area is NOT a hunting area. This area is great for
lake fishing and camping. Some of the fish you can catch are:
crappie, catfish, bluegill, and bullhead. Only electric motorboats
permitted and canoe access is available. Perry State Forest and
Perry State Forest Rec. Area is located south of St. Rt. 669 and west of
St. Rt. 345. The recreational area is located on the west side of

Rushcreek
Lake
Rushcreek Lake is
1,000 acres of woodland and 302 acres of water. While lake fishing
boats must be limited to 10 horsepower. This is also a public
hunting area. Rushcreek Lake is located on the west side of the
county north of St. Rt. 22.

Sayre #3
Reservoir
This reservoir is
primarily used for pond fishing. It is located north of St. Rt. 37

St.
Joseph Lake
This area is 148
acres of woodland and 60 acres of water. Canoes, rowboats, and sail
boats are permitted. Public boat ramps are provided. This lake
is great of lake fishing. St. Joseph Lake is also a public hunting
area. It is located east of St. Rt. 668. 614-569-4500
Sunday
Creek Wildlife Area
This area is
18,978 acres of woodland for hunting. A free permit is required when
hunting. Some of the animals are: squirrel, grouse, deer,
raccoon, rabbit, and turkey. It is located on the south side of the
county. It overlaps St. Rt. 93, St. RT. 595, and St. Rt. 216.

Twin
Churches Lake
This lake is 49
acres with 93 acres of surrounding woodland. This area provides lake
fishing and public hunting. Public boat ramps are also available for
use. Twin Churches Lake is located north of Flagdale Lake and west

Wayne
National Forest
This forest is
18,391 acres with 51 acres of water. This is a public hunting area.
Back packing, hiking, and other recreational activities are available.
Wayne National Forest is located north of Sunday Creek Wildlife Area.
It is both east and west of St. Rt. 93 on the south side of the county.
