Clarington Boat Ramp
At the Clarington Boat Ramp Ohio River fishing is available.  Boat ramps provide access to the river for power and sail boats.  Clarington boat ramp is located near the junction of St. Rt. 78 and St. Rt. 7.

Knowlton Covered Bridge Park
This park is 3 acres.  It provides stream fishing, canoe access, and other recreational activities.  It is located near St. Rt. 26 on the south side of the county.  614-472-1328

Monroe Lake Wildlife Area
Monroe Lake Wildlife Area is located on St. Rt. 800 on the north side of the county.  This area is 1,333 acres with 40 acres of water.  While lake fishing some of the fish you can catch are:  large mouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, catfish, and rainbow trout.  This lake is steep sided and very deep.  Only boats with electric motors are permitted.  Monroe Lake Wildlife Area is a public hunting area.  Some of the game located in the area are:  squirrel, rabbit, grouse, woodcock, deer, furbearer, and waterfowl.  614-472-1328

Monroe Park & Marina
This park and marina is located on the east side of St. Rt. 7.  Monroe Park & Marina is great for stream fishing and other recreational activities.  Formally lock #15, the park provides boat ramps for power boats.

Piatt Park
Piatt Park is a fantastic cave and gorge area.  Campsites with and without electricity are provided.  Hiking trails and other recreational activities are available.  Piatt Park is located south of Sunset Creek Rd.

Sunfish Creek State Forest
This state forest is 637 acres.  Sunfish Creek State Forest is a public hunting area.  The terrain is very steep.  Stream fishing and hiking trails are also provided.  614-593-3341

Wayne National Forest
Wayne National Forest is scattered across the southern half of the county.  The forest is 23,687 acres with 2 acres of water.  This is a public hunting area.  This area contains one of the seven natural bridges in Ohio.  Over five hiking trails ranging in various lengths include: Lamping Homestead Trail, Archers Fork Trail, Covered Bridge Trail, and Scenic View Trail.
