Apple Grove Access
Power and sail boats are permitted.  This 5 acre area provides Ohio River access for fishing.  Apple Grove Access is south east of St. Rt. 338.  614-594-2211

Forked Run State Park
This park is 815 acres of woodland and 102 acres of water.  Boats are limited to 10 horsepower while lake fishing.  This fish available to catch are:  trout, smallmouth & largemouth bass, sunfish, and catfish. Access to Ohio River fishing is also an option.  Boat docks, ramps, and rentals are available.  Public hunting in designated areas, camping, and other recreational activities are available.  Forked Run State Park is located east of St. Rt. 248.

Mead Forestlands
640 acres of public hunting.  Hunters must obtain permission before crossing the surrounding land.  Meads Forest is located on the south of Side Hill Rd. 

Old Ferry Landing Park
6,400 acres of water.  Ohio River Gallipolis Pool Fishing is located here.  Other recreational activities are available.  Old Ferry Landing Park is located at the junction of St. Rt. 124 and St. Rt. 338.

Old Town Creek Access
This 25 acre area is for public hunting and shore fishing.  Old Town Creek Access is located south of St. Rt. 338.  614-594-2211

Pomeroy Ramp
6,400 acres of water.  Ohio River Gallipolis Pool Fishing is located here.  Power and sail boats are permitted.  Other recreational activities are available.  Pomeroy Ramp is located on St. Rt. 33, on the south side of the county.

Portland Access
This area is 10 acres of public hunting and Ohio River Fishing.  It is located on St. Rt. 124, on the east side of the county.

Racine Locks and Dam
Ohio River fishing is provided with 88 acres of woodland at Racine Locks and Dam.  When fishing in Tail waters be prepared to use caution.  Other recreational activities are available.

Shade River Access
Provides 3 acres of Ohio River fishing and is a public hunting area.

Shade River State Forest
This state forest is a public hunting area.  It is 2,800 acres of woods and 1 acre of water.  Pond fishing and other recreational activities are available.  614-554-3177
