Big
Island Wildlife Area
This wildlife
area is 2,998.12, acres of woodland and 3 acres of water. While
shore fishing some of the fish that could be caught are: smallmouth
bass, rock bass, channel cat, bullhead carp, and suckers. This is
also a public hunting area. Some of the game located in the area
are: rabbit, squirrel, pheasant, waterfowl, woodcock, deer, and
furbearer. Big Island Wildlife Area is located north and south of
St. Rt. 95.

Delaware
Wildlife Area
This area is
located east of St. Rt. 23, on the south side of the county. This
area is 1,235 acres of woodland and 1,330 acres of water. While lake
fishing some of the fish available are: black bass, bluegill,
crappie, white bass, saugeye, and catfish. Boat ramps and docks are
provided. This area is also a public hunting area. Pheasants
are stocked in this area as well as squirrels, woodchuck, and waterfowl.
A shooting range, dog training area, and archery range are also provided.

Killdeer
Plains Wildlife Area
This wildlife
area is 155 acres and 1,320 acres of water. Must have a permit to
hunt this hunting area. Waterfowl, rabbit, pheasant, squirrel, deer,
and furbearers are some of the game available. Hunters can only hunt
woodcock on the non-refuge portion. 614-496-2254
Larue
Area Park and Pool
This park and
pool is 23 of woodland and 5 acres of water. Shore fishing and other
recreational activities are available. The park is located just
north of the town Larue 614-499-3333
