The Bayshore
Access is 6 acres and provides Lake Erie fishing. Bayshore Access is

Bend view is a 30
acre area just east of St Rt. 24. River fishing and hiking is
available. Hiking the Towpath Trail will provide a great view of the
river. Other recreational activities are available.

Cooley
Canal
This 4 acre area
provides shore fishing and campsites with and without electricity.
Boat ramps and power boats are permitted. Cooley Canal is located

Park
Cullen Park is 9
acres and provides shore fishing. Power/sail boats are permitted and

Evergreen
Lake
Evergreen Lake is
8 acres and located east of St. Rt. 295. This lake provides shore
fishing.
Farnsworth
With the span of
209 acres, Farnsworth provides river fishing, boat ramps, and canoe
rental. Power and sail boats are permitted. Campsites
with/without electricity and other recreational activities are available.

Little
Cedar Point National Wildlife Refuge.
This wildlife
refuge is 2,445 acres and has fishing in designated areas June through
August. Trapping by bid. Little Cedar Point National Wildlife
Refuge is located in the north east corner of the county.

Magee
Marsh Wildlife Area
This wildlife
area is 21 acres with 1,700 acres of water. Lake Erie fishing and
waterfowl hunting with a permit is allowed. 419-898-0960
Maumee
Bay State Park
This state park
is 1,450 acres with 117 acres of water. Maumee Bay State Park is the
walleye capital of the world. Some of the fish available are:
channel cat, smallmouth bass, walleye, and perch. Visitors can
windsurf, rent canoes/boats, and shore fish. Camping with
electricity, cabins, and other recreational activities are available.

State Forest
Maumee State
Forest is 3,068 acres. Only 812 acres are located in Lucas county.
This is a public hunting area with hiking and bridle trails. The
state forest is located on the west side of the county.

Metzger
Marsh Wildlife Area
This wildlife
area is 558 acres and is a public hunting area. It also provides
Lake Erie fishing and some of the fish are: bullhead, channel cat,
crappie, walleye, and perch. A fishing pier and boat ramps are also
located at the wildlife area. Power and sail boats are permitted.
The variations in water level will effect waterfowl hunting and trapping.
Metzger Marsh Wildlife Area is located east of St. Rt. 2.

Missionary Island Wildlife
This 248 wildlife
area is public hunting ground with shore fishing. Missionary Island
Wildlife is located east of St. Rt. 24. 419-459-4676
Oak
Openings Preserve
This preserve is
3,697 acres with 35 acres of water. Lodging and camping can be
reserved. Oak Openings Preserve is great for shore fishing. It
is located south of St. Rt. 2 on the west side of the county.

Mallard Club Marsh Wildlife Area
This wildlife
area is 400 acres of public hunting.
Ottawa
National Wildlife Refuge
This wildlife
area is located on the east side of the county. It is 4,683 acres of
woodland and 2,137 acres of water. Waterfowl hunting is by permit
only. Permits are available at ODNR. Trapping is by bid.

acres with 206 acres of water. This area is well known for shore
fishing. The Towpath Trail runs throw this area. The restored
Isaac Ludwig Mill is located here as well as other recreational
activities.

Side Cut
This area is 563
acres with 1 acre of water. It is a great place to catch walleye and
white bass through the months March - June. Boats can have unlimited
