Riverdowns Park
The 29 acre park
allows shore fishing and power/sail boats. Other amenities include a
swimming area, picnic facilities and park sports.

Access
This area on the
county's west-central side has 4 acres of shore fishing
and a public hunting area.
Grand
Rapids Access
On the county's west
side, not far from Mary Jane Thurston State Park. Features 30 acres
of river fishing along the mighty Maumee River. Also includes
a public hunting area.
Jones WPA
59 acre public
hunting area near the Wood County border on County Road K.

40 acre public
hunting area on Township Road 11 just south of State Route 281.
Knipp#2
WPA
38 acre public
hunting area just south of State Route 424, south of the Florida river
access, a stones throw south of the Maumee River on county road Z.
Mary Jane
Thurston State Park
This 555 acre
features a designated hunting area and areas for
waterfowl hunting. River fish for pike, walleye, white bass,
smallmouth bass, channel cats, bullhead, sheephead, carp and crappie. Public boat ramps with
17 miles of unlimited horsepower boating are available. Campsites
without electricity and other recreational activities are available.
Maumee
State Forest
A Henry County
treasure. The 3,068 park borders Lucas County, but 898 acres remain
in Henry County. It features a public hunting area, dog training
area and bridle trails as well as trails for hiking and cross-country
skiing. Call 419-822-3052 for park information.
Meyerholtz Wildlife Area
This 14 area is
adjacent to the 3 acres Meyerholtz Park. Together the areas offer
hiking trails, biking trails and Maumee River fishing. There's a
boat ramp on site with river access. Unlimited horsepower boats.

and 15 acres open to shore fishing. Boat ramp and dock; power boats
and sail boats. Picnic areas and shelters too.

Turkeyfoot Creek Access
A nice day away from
it all - 455 acres that feature a public hunting area plus waterfowl
hunting. River fishing for pike, walleye, white bass, smallmouth
bass, channel cats, sheepshead and bullhead, carp and crappie.

mighty Maumee river.
Ritter
Park
This public, family
oriented park is a nice place to take the family for some river fishing,
park sports, plus trails for hiking, biking and cross-country skiing.

Wabash
Cannonball Trail
If it's trails you're
after, this trail features 900 acres on which to hike, bike and
cross-country ski. Bridle trails too. This is a prepared,
smooth surface - no motorized vehicles allowed. The trails also
spill into Lucas, Fulton and Williams County. This resource is
