Dunkirk Community Park
This park is 40 acres and includes 20 acres of water providing shore
fishing.
Gormley Park
Gormley Park is just south west of Kenton. This park is 131 acres
that includes 68 acres of water with shore fishing, power boats, & boat
ramps/docks. Camping is available with or without electricity.
Restrooms, shelters, and recreational activities such hiking trails are
also located in the area. 419-674-4850
Kenton
Coon Dog Trials
The Kenton Coon Dog Trials started in 1927 after spending it's first two
years of life in Marion County. Aside from a couple of years during
World War 2, the trials have commenced every year since its inception.
The trials are part of the Kenton National, which includes a massive flea
market, a focus on outdoor events, gear and memorabilia, and a series of
concerts that feature some of country and rock's top names - Darryl
Worley, Shenandoah, Marty Raybon, and Billy Ryan to name a few.
Lawrence Woods
Lawrence
Woods is a 1,035 acre state nature preserve. Rare plants and animal
species dwell in Lawrence Woods. A boardwalk helps visitor travel
though the mature forest providing great views. No fishing, no
hunting.
