Hueston Woods State Park
Not to be
confused with the Hueston Woods Nature Preserve, which is low impact only,
the State Park has 2,971 acres upon which to fish, trap furbearers and
hunt deer. Fish on 625 acres filled with Largemouth Bass, Crappie
and Channel Cats. Boats are limited to 10HP. Many other family

Butler
County has many low-impact wildlife areas upon which to enjoy nature and
bird watch, or engage in family activities. The Bird Sanctuary has a
5 mile hiking trail, Crawford Woods has picnic tables, playgrounds and
shelter houses, Gilmore Ponds has abundant wildlife and nature trails, the
Hamilton Bike Way is a 3.5 mile bike/hike trail and Harbin Park has 161
acres filled with shore fishing, a nature center, picnic tables, shelter
houses and grills, playgrounds, hiking and more. Joyce Park contains
313 acres of outdoor family fun, with a BMX bike track, contact sports
fields, cross country skiing, river fishing, bike/hike trails and a
driving range.

County also has several interesting historical locations including the
Bunker Hill Pioneer Cemetary, the Crawford Home, the Indian Creek Pioneer
Church, the Monument Log Cabin, and various location to view and study
Ohio's famous Miami-Erie Canal.
