Metzner arrowed this buck in Adams County Oct. 21. After the 60 day
waiting period this brute will probably net around 196 and be one of
the largest typical whitetails taken nationally this year.

Hunting located inside private land areas (permission needed to cross
private land to get to Mead lands). 614-772-3111. Located on east
side of county, NE of SR781 and south of SR73. Encompasses 4,411
acres.

acres in size. Accessible via SR52, west of Rome, OH.

Ohio river, boat ramps. Area of ramp is 1 acre in size. Accessible
via SR52, at Rome, OH.
Tranquility
Wildlife Area
This Adams County public hunting area contains 4,254 acres of prime deer
habitat and 12 acres of water packed with LM bass, bluegill & catfish. The wildlife area is 16 miles south of Hillsboro on state Route
770. County Road 100 (old state Route 32) borders the southern boundary of
this area. Shooting range on site.
